THE AXCO DOCTORAL SCHOLAR AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BATH

Axco Insurance Information Services Ltd is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with the University of Bath to bring best practice academic research into our existing model of in-country research and high quality analysis. Starting in 2012 Axco will be sponsoring Ms Julia Rozhkovskaya, the Axco Doctoral Scholar at the University of Bath's School of Management, in her effort to develop a deeper understanding of the Russian non-life insurance market and the factors influencing company profitability and efficiency. 

Ms Rozhkovskaya on working with Axco:

However, sponsorship is also a challenge and I am grateful to Mr Tim Yeates from Axco and Professor Mike Adams from the University of Bath School of Management for giving me the chance to become a leading specialist in the Russian insurance market. With my research I aim to make a positive contribution to Axco's long-term competitive advantage and the image of the University of Bath."

Ms Rozhkovskaya, a native of Moscow and a graduate of both Moscow International Higher Business School and the University of Swansea, will be working with Axco to develop a better understanding of insurance and risk dynamics in a vital and expanding market.  Russia, with a population in excess of 142 million and a projected real GDP growth rate of 4.5% in 2012, is a major Eurasian economy, whose importance will only grow for global insurers in the coming decades. A project which will analyse Russian industry governance, board composition and ultimately its corporate environment will serve to improve the authority of Axco's existing products while enhancing analytical coverage.
